Facebook. Born In Quarantine.
For Mother’s Day, Facebook set out to offer support to those giving birth in quarantine and highlight how people were using the platform to connect during this time.
Droga5 drew parallels between the conditions mothers faced today and the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918-1920, with intimate footage of mothers and their newborns in 2020 side by side with mothers and their newborns then. The narrator speaks of the strength of mothers under duress, then, at the end of the film, she is revealed to be a centenarian born during the previous pandemic.

Dustin Yellin x Tribeca Film Festival . Procession.
Procession is a groundbreaking augmented reality experience that lets anyone in the world place a Dustin Yellin sculpture in their immediate environment, and bring it to life by walking around and inside it to reveal hundreds of narratives layered within the piece. The unfolding work depicts our near future, a period of global unrest and environmental destruction spurred by raging flood waters and massive wildfires. Here humanity is faced with a dire choice: continue living as we are or unite to preserve what’s left of our dwindling planet.
